Valentine Cookies

It's February and Valentine's day is right around the corner! I usually try to make some type of candy or chocolate around this time, so that may or may not be another recipe for this month. These pink cookies are very quick to make, and warning: they're addictive.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter

  • 1 tsp. vanilla

  • 1 tsp. almond flavoring

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp. salt

  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

  • About 1/2 tsp. red food coloring

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 360 degrees. Mix butter, vanilla, almond flavoring, and sugar together until combined. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Roll the dough into balls and coat with powdered sugar.

Bake for 10-12 minutes. Dust powdered sugar on top after the cookies have cooled. Enjoy!

Note: You can also turn chocolate chip cookies pink for Valentine's day by adding red food coloring!
