Whether you're new to crochet, or a beginner, this ornament only requires two stitches to make. It's very quick and simple, making it a fun ornament to create and add to your tree! I'm planning on crocheting a couple more ornaments before Christmas this year, so if you're interested, check back in for more ornaments in December! I hope you enjoy making this crochet Christmas tree in the meantime.
Materials:
5.75 mm crochet hook
Medium weight acrylic yarn
3-5 small wooden beads
Crochet needle
Scissors
Instructions:
Make a slipknot. Chain 70.
Turn, and single crochet the row. Chain 1.
Leaving a long tail, cut and knot the end.
Use the needle to weave in the smaller end. Thread the needle with the longer end of yarn. Begin to stitch through the middle of the tree, including a wood bead in between the bigger boughs. You must start at the bottom of the tree and work your way up, otherwise it could get confusing!
Once you've poked the needle out through the top of the tree, thread it through one of the stitches and knot, then make a loop (to hang it on the tree) before tying the end of the yarn to another stitch. Weave in the last yarn end and this ornament is complete!
