This recipe was a classic for me growing up, although I never really knew how easy it was to make for myself until after I got married. Pigs in a blanket is still a comfort food for me that brings me back to my childhood the second I take the first bite. If you want some ideas for healthy sides to go with this, potatoes and mixed vegetables, or a salad would be great.

Ingredients:

  • 8-pack of crescent rolls (dough)

  • 8-pack of hot dogs

  • Cheese (I used Kraft Singles American cheese, but any cheese will work)

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Slice a line down the middle of each hot dog (long ways) using a sharp knife.

Tear the cheese into small pieces and stuff the middle of each hot dog with cheese.

Carefully wrap each hot dog with a triangle of crescent roll dough.

Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper (if you don't have parchment paper, that's okay, it isn't super important). Place the pigs in blankets on the baking sheet and into the oven.

Bake for about 18 minutes or until the crescent roll dough is cooked through. Enjoy!
