Green Tea Bookmark

If you're an avid reader like me, and enjoy drinking tea, this bookmark is perfect for you! I always end up losing my bookmarks or reading more than one book at a time, so extra bookmarks are always needed! This one was so quick to make, and turned out very cute! It also doesn't take a lot of yarn to finish one. You could even experiment with different colors and details to add your own unique twist!

Materials Needed:

  • 5 mm crochet hook

  • Light green yarn

  • White yarn

  • Brown/tan yarn

  • Black yarn (just a little)

  • Safety eyes (alternatively, you could stitch eyes on)

  • Crochet/craft needle

  • Scissors

Instructions:

Teabag:

Start with the green yarn. Make a slipknot, then chain 6.

Single crochet 12 rows.

Cut end and tie off.

Attach the safety eyes where you would like, and sew on the mouth.

Sew teabag shut with a crochet needle.

Pull the white yarn through the top of the teabag. Single crochet 4 rows.

Cut tail long and weave yarn to the middle of the row to secure.

For tab:

Take the tan yarn and make a slipknot. Chain 4.

Single crochet 4 rows.

Cut and tie off to finish.

Cut white yarn end to desired bookmark length and tie to the tab.

Weave in remaining ends.
