This is a super easy sewing project that works up quick, making it great for beginners. I think it took me maybe 20 minutes, start to finish? It's a cute little pouch, and I love the ribbon ties I added to this one. These can be used for anything from coin purses to favor bags to candy carriers!

Materials:

Fabric

Ribbon or cord

Basic sewing supplies

Instructions:

Cut two 7 x 7 inch squares of fabric.

Place the squares together with wrong sides facing outward. With a 3/4 inch seam allowance, sew a U down the sides and bottom of the squares. Leave a couple of inches at the top on either side.

Fold the top down on either side, and sew it, forming a tube.

Cut two strands of ribbon (or cord) at least 24 inches long. Thread one strand on one side and the other strand on the remaining side. Knot the ends on the same sides together.
