Crochet Diamond Bandana

As the end of summer looms closer, I feel compelled to squeeze in another summer-y crochet pattern! This cute bandana is a great accent to any outfit, can be made in different colors, and provides a nice way to keep stray hairs out of your face (mouth specifically, if you're me). I used cotton yarn to make this project a little lighter for the warmer temps, but you could use acrylic or another warmer yarn if you don't mind the heat.

Keep up the pattern. I did about 16-17 rows total.

Some tips:

At the start of every row: Ch 4. 2 DC in chain space.

Row 2-3 of diamond: don't skip stitches.

Rows 4-5 and row after: Ch 1 and skip two stitches on either side.

Every middle chain space: 2 DC

Last chain space: 2 DC, Ch 1, 1 DC

For the bandana straps:

Don't cut the yarn when you finish!!! We will continue on with the first strap.

Ch 35.

Rotate bandana, SC back across.

SC 2 into gap.

Ch 1.

SC 2 into gap.

Ch 1.

Continue pattern until you've reached the other side of the bandana.

To make the second strap:

Ch 35.

Rotate bandana, SC back across.

Ch 1. Cut yarn end, knot to finish. Weave in loose ends.
