Cheesy Bread Bites

Baking has always been relaxing to me, and bread is no different. Sure, there have been a few times where my bread hasn't risen or baked right, but I still enjoy the process. This recipe for bread bites is honestly one of the quickest bread recipes I have. They normally look white when they come out of the oven, like a bun, but if you add the egg wash, the bread bites turn a lovely golden brown on top. I just am too lazy to add the egg wash most of the time! As I said, this recipe is quick to make, and it's easy enough for kids to help with or any first time bread bakers to try!

Ingredients and Instructions:

  • 1 Tb. yeast

  • 2 Tb. sugar

  • 4 and 1/2 tsp. dry milk

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1 cup warm water

Add ingredients to large bowl and mix until well combined. Cover with a dish towel and let sit for ten minutes while the yeast activates.

  • 1 and 1/2 cup flour

  • 8 tsp. olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Add additional ingredients. Knead dough for 10 minutes in stand mixer (or by hand) then form dough into little bread balls. Poke a hole in the bread ball and stuff with mozzarella cheese. Pinch to close, and place on baking sheet. Continue until baking sheet is full. Add egg wash if desired. Sprinkle toppings on (shredded cheese, everything bagel seasoning, italian seasoning, etc.) top before baking. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Enjoy!
